The 2023 Triple Jam will be the biggest ever.
The WKBL (Korean Women’s Basketball League) announced on the 8th that “the participating teams and groupings for the ‘2023 Shinhan Bank SOL 3×3 Triple Jam’ to be held at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on the 24th and 25th of this month have been confirmed.”
The tournament will feature 13 teams, the most in the history of the 3×3 Triple Jam (based on professional team participation), as well as a number of overseas teams to promote international exchange. Six overseas teams from four countries have confirmed their participation, including the Toyota Antelopes, runners-up in the Japan W-League 2022-2023 Championship Finals, as well as Singapore (Jumpshot), Thailand (Shootit Dragons), and the Philippines (Titans).메이저사이트
A total of seven domestic teams will compete head-to-head against the overseas teams. In addition to the six WKBL teams, the Korean National 3×3 Women’s Basketball Team, which will compete at the Hangzhou Asian Games in September, will also be competing.
A non-face-to-face group draw was also held on the morning of the 8th on the first floor of the WKBL building. The teams will be divided into four groups and will play the preliminary round on the 24th, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarter-finals on the 25th.
The WKBL said, “The 3×3 Triple Jam, which is becoming a representative summer event of the WKBL, is expected to help strengthen the international competitiveness of the players by expanding the scale of the tournament to an international competition this year. We are preparing to welcome fans to the tournament with a variety of events.”
