Table tennis Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin win the first round of mixed doubles following singles

Shin Yu-bin (Korean Air) won her first match in the mixed doubles following the World Championship individual match.

Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin led the game with an overwhelming pace enough to end the game 11 minutes and 19 seconds after the start.

The Lim Jong-Hoon-Shin Yu-Bin team won the World Table Tennis (WTT) Contender Nova Gorica in November last year, right after their formation, and jointly placed runners-up in the WTT Contender Doha in January and the WTT Star Contender in April.

Shin Yu-bin took her first step smoothly by defeating Jang-mo (Canada) 4-1 (11-5 10-12 11-9 13-11 11-2) in the first round (round of 128) of the women’s singles held the day before.

Shin Yu-bin, who withdrew from the 2021 World Championships for the first time due to a stress fracture injury on her wrist, returned after two surgeries and rehabilitation to challenge for the World Championships again after two years.

Shin Yu-bin will compete in all three events, singles, doubles, and mixed doubles.

Lim Jong-hun also defeated Robert Gardos (Austria) 4-1 (11-4 8-11 11-7 11-5) in the men’s singles first round (round of 128).
