Seoul on a spring day, running in 4 years

The ‘2023 Seoul Half Marathon’, a marathon festival to enjoy springtime Seoul, will be held on the 30th.

It is a 21.0975 km course that departs from Gwanghwamun Square at 8:00 am, passes Mapo-daero and Mapo Bridge, passes through Yeouido Park, Nodeul-gil and Yanghwa Bridge, and finishes at Sangam World Cup Park Peace Square. In the 10km segment, Yeouido Park is the arrival point. In April, when spring flowers are in full bloom, it is evaluated as the best course to meet other charms of Seoul while driving freely in the middle of Seoul with two feet. Crossing the Han River Bridge twice while cutting through the spring breeze is the highlight of the competition. 먹튀검증

A total of 12,729 people will participate in the half and 10 km divisions of this Seoul Half Marathon, which has returned after four years due to the corona spread. The enthusiasm of the young generation who enjoys running as a great hobby is especially hot. 2750 people in their 20s and 4801 people in their 30s, with 60% of the participants in their 20s and 30s. 18.6% of participants in the half course and 37% of participants in the 10km category were women. The oldest participant in the half marathon is 82-year-old Cho Jeon-hoon, and Lee Bang-joo (79), chairman of the Lee Hae-rang Theater Foundation, will be the oldest participant in the 10km category.

The Seoul Half Marathon is held as a citizen festival to enjoy and cheer together. Families, lovers, friends, and colleagues run together, and busking performance teams are placed throughout the course to encourage them. In this year’s Seoul Half Marathon, the largest number of busking teams ever participated, including acoustic bands, dances, and traditional music, coloring the city with colorful music and large-scale street performances.

The time limit for the half marathon is 2 hours and 30 minutes, and 10 km is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Luggage storage at the departure point must be completed before 7:20 am. After that, the goods storage vehicle moves to the destination. Since the half marathon and 10km division goal marks are different, items must be stored in accordance with the category for which you have applied. If you do not observe the starting group, the record will not be measured, so you must check the starting time for each category and group.

Drinking water supply stations are usually installed every 5 km. At the 10km and 15km points, banana and choco pies are provided, respectively. Volunteers serve as a lubricant for the progress of the competition throughout the course. The Seoul Half Marathon is building a tight system to keep participants safe. A total of 13 ambulances and paramedics stand by for every 1.5 km of the course, and an automatic cardiac defibrillator is deployed every 1 km.
