LeBron has given the nod to opponent Denver.
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets 111-113 in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals of the 2022-2023 NBA Playoffs at Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night (Feb. 23). The loss ended the Lakers’ season.
LeBron James (203 cm, F) had 40 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists, and Anthony Davis (208 cm, F-C) had 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the team from losing.
The Lakers succeeded in controlling their opponent’s outside shooting in the first half. On offense, James poured in 21 points in the first quarter alone, with contributions from other players. As a result, the Lakers went into halftime with a 73-58 lead.
The third quarter was the problem. The Lakers failed to score in the opening minutes of the third quarter. Instead, they couldn’t control their opponent’s quick offense and went 8-24 from the field. As a result, they gave up the lead.먹튀검증
In the fourth quarter, Davis’ performance helped them close the gap. In particular, Davis scored with 1:13 left in the game to make it 111-111. The Lakers then turned to Nikola Jokic (211 cm, C). They had a chance. With four seconds left in the game, the Lakers went for one last offense. But it didn’t work, and the Lakers lost the game.
After the game, LeBron praised Denver on ESPN. “Me and Davis came to the conclusion in the locker room that Denver is the best team in the league. They’re really strong. They’re a well-coached team. They’ve got great scoring, they’ve got great shooting, they’ve got great playmaking, and you can’t make too many mistakes, especially when you have a guy like Jokic.”
The Lakers were swept by Denver in the Conference Finals. All four games were close, but they couldn’t get past their opponents in overtime, resulting in a sweep. That’s why LeBron’s concession to Denver was so clear.
It will be interesting to see if the Nuggets, who reached the NBA Finals by beating the Lakers, can win their first championship since their inception.
