Manchester City of the English Premier League (EPL) has been crowned the “King” of Europe.
City defeated Inter Milan 1-0 on penalties in the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League (UCL) final at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, on Nov. 11.
It was City’s first UCL title in club history. It also completed the first treble in the club’s history. City conquered the EPL, FA Cup, and UCL. It was the second English title in history, after Manchester United in 1999.
While many players spoke about the victory after the game, Kyle Walker’s comments stood out. He came on as a late second-half substitute to share in the treble glory.
After the game, Walker told BT Sport in the UK that it was unbelievable to win the treble. He had a very harsh childhood. “We were very poor and it was very hard for the whole family, but they persevered. And now he’s enjoying the glory of travel, which is why he’s so grateful to his family.안전놀이터
“It’s not often that I’m speechless,” Walker said, “but I am now. It was my dream to win a treble with this club. And now I’ve done it. It’s unbelievable,” he said.
He continued, “This club is very important to me. It gave me the experience. It made my dreams come true. I’m forever indebted to Man City.”
Finally, Walker thought of his family.
“I’m overcome with emotion. I feel like I’m living a dream right now. My father and mother are in the stands. I remember when I was a kid and I didn’t have £1 ($1,600) to buy an ice cream cone. I am so grateful to be able to be with my parents like this.”
