FC Seoul has been recognized as the top box office team for rounds 1-13 of the 2023 season.
In the first round of K League 1 club awards for the 2023 season, announced today by the Korea Football Association (KFA), Seoul won both the Full Stadium award, which recognizes the club with the largest attendance, and the Plus Stadium award, which honors the club with the largest year-over-year increase in attendance.
Seoul drew an average of 27,531 paying fans in six home matches this season, the most of any of the 12 clubs in K League 1, from rounds 1-13.
This is an increase of 18,745 fans from last season’s average of 8,786, and Seoul also had the largest increase in attendance.
The Fan Friendly Club award, which recognizes the club with the most fan-friendly activities, went to league leader Ulsan Hyundai. It’s their seventh consecutive win since the start of the 2021 season.
Ulsan received the highest score of 96.2 points in the first round of judging (40 percent) and the second round of group voting (40 percent journalists and 20 percent fans) for activities such as providing a variety of food and entertainment options through the UH-MALL at Munsu Soccer Stadium and opening a mascot brand store.

In K League 2, Busan I-Park won the Full Stadium and Plus Stadium categories.
Busan drew 3,595 fans to its five home matches in rounds 1-13, up 2,127 from last season’s average of 1,468.
The K League 2 Fan Friendly Club was Gimcheon Sangmu.
The “Green Stadium” award, which evaluates the condition of stadium turf, went to DGB Daegu Bank Park of K League 1 Daegu FC and Cheonan General Stadium of K League 2 newcomer Cheonan City FC.
